Dr. Djavaherian received his BS and MS in Biological Science at Stanford University, where he performed research on Cytomegalovirus through a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Grant, prior to entering medical school at the University of Rochester where he received his MD with Distinction in Research.
His medical career includes working at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, The University Hospital of Columbia, and Cornell, where he developed clinical skills in emergency medicine and served as Chief Resident, receiving multiple awards. He also served as an instructor for the New York Academy of Medicine's course in Evidence-Based Medicine and as physician lead for Emergency Medical Informatics in the Division of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Kaufman received his BS in Neurobiology at the University of California at Berkeley. Between college and medical school, Dr. Kaufman spent an extended time working in a clinic in South Africa. He went on to attend Medical School at the University of California - San Francisco, where he conducted Pediatric Neurology research.
Dr. Kaufman completed his residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals where he was the EMS Chief Resident. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine, is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine, and Medical Director of two Emergency Departments. He is passionate about patient satisfaction and believes that every patient should be treated as a member of our own family.
Jessica Horwitz graduated from the University of Florida and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner degree and certification at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. With six years of clinical experience in urgent care, primary care and infectious disease, Jessica brings a balance of strong clinical skills and a passion for providing patient centered care. In addition to working at Direct Urgent Care she runs a clinical practice at East Bay AIDS Clinic in Oakland. Jessica enjoys her work in Urgent Care due to the fast pace and varied clinical experiences she encounters while having the time and support to provide comprehensive and individualized care to patients of all ages.
Ariella Jessel graduated from University of Miami, and completed her Masters at UCSF. She has worked in Emergency Medicine for 8 years, as both a Nurse Practitioner and RN. She trained as an emergency & trauma nurse at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, before coming to the bay area for graduate school. Ariella enjoys the variety and dynamics of the Emergency Department & urgent care setting.
Ariella’s philosophy as a Nurse Practitioner is to create a safe place for her patients to express a health concern, and to listen as each encounter is an opportunity to educate and impact a life.
Tangie Lewis completed her undergraduate degree in Nursing at the University of San Francisco. She practiced as an emergency/trauma registered nurse for several years. She earned her Master's Degree in Nursing and national certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at UCSF. Tangie has practiced in emergency departments in the Bay Area for 10 years. She enjoys the urgent care environment as a middle ground between primary and emergency care.
Dr. Bosley is an emergency physician committed to providing you and your loved ones with thoughtful and compassionate care. He completed medical school at The University of Pennsylvania and residency in Oakland at the storied Highland Hospital, one of the country's first emergency medicine training sites.
Jennifer McMaster completed both her undergraduate and Masters degrees in Nursing at California State University, Long Beach. She also holds a degree in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Irvine. Her approach to medicine is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while developing a meaningful, trusting rapport with each client she serves.
Aurora Helm PA-C has experience in Women's Health, Pediatrics, Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. She has been working at urgent care centers in the Bay Area for several years.
Aurora has a Masters of Medical Science from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and received her BA from the State University of New York at Albany.
Christine Smith completed her undergraduate degree at Samuel Merritt University and her FNP and Masters degree at Holy Names University. In addition to over 25 years of experience in the Emergency Department and Critical Care, she is certified in travel medicine and has worked in Jordan, Honduras, Mexico, and Zambia. She loves the diverse population she sees at Direct Urgent Care and that it allows her to integrate health education, disease prevention and holistic wellness into her patient care.
Kaedi Fehlberg graduated from Columbia University School of Nursing with a Masters in Nursing, completing a specialty in both Family Practice and Acute Care. She has been practicing for ten years and enjoys emergency medicine, for both the diversity of patients and the opportunity to provide meaningful care.
Amy has over 5 years for emergency room experience and has worked at Direct Urgent Care for over 1 year. She received a BA from the University of California San Diego before continuing on to Touro University where she received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and Public Health.
Brad is an Emergency Room Physician and currently completing an Ultrasound Fellowship. Brad grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii. He received his BA from the University of Southern California and attended medical school at NYU.
